I have learned how to think of definitions for a word creatively, rather than going to the dictionary definition of the word. If I could change one thing about the assignment it would be instead of getting certain words from our classes; we could pick a certain amount of word's from each class that we think are important to know, and use them as posters. I think this assignment will help me remember terms in the future

Should Apple have resisted FBI pressure to hack an iPhone? Hunter Cooper 5th period 3/2/17 “The (FBI) has dropped its lawsuit against Apple, ending its desire to force the company to create software to unlock the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino, California, gunmen.” “Apple” should not allow the (FBI) to hack the iphone's. American citizens rights are at stake, and the purpose of the law is to protect the people’s rights. “Because of the privacy features of the iPhone, the FBI could not search Farook's phone for information about the attack without Apple's help.” The (FBI) needs “Apples” help with finding out information about Syed Farook. Farook and his wife killed 14 people in a mass shooting in San Bernardino. The (FBI) wanted Apple to write new software to unlock Syed Farook's iPhone. “Apple” refused. The (FBI) has a third-party in decoding the iPhone of Syed Farook. This let’s “Apple” off the hook. “The FBI’s decision to drop its lawsuit against Apple does not help the actions of Tim Cook.” Tim Cook is Apple's CEO. Cook refused to unlock Farook's phone to help the FBI's investigation of the attack. Cook responded to the FBI with a letter. He named the letter a “breach of privacy” with “chilling consequences” for free speech. His action, now proven right, has set back the efforts of the FBI to stop the actions of extremists or terrorists by months. “Apple” has the right to provide products that help Americans protect the fourth amendment. According to “Tribune News Service” Apple phones have features that protect the privacy of the information on them, and the Fourth Amendment guarantees people this right to privacy.” The Fourth Amendment says the government has a right to search personal property if they have a warrant. The Fourth Amendment does not say that a third party like a technology company, can be forced to aid the government in their searches. Forcing “Apple” to make software that would be able to hack into Iphones would be violating the rights of the company. “Apple” should not allow the (FBI) to hack the iphone's. If the (FBI) hacked the Iphone American citizens could be in danger. The American Citizens rights would be at stake. With this third party that the (FBI) has found; it let's “Apple” off the hook. “Apple has the right to make things like the Iphone that helps Americans protect the 4th amendment. |
